CFN Family Conference
As it is on many journeys no matter what the destination, there are side roads and detours that are part of the trip. When we travel we hate to see detours. On the downside, after we have carefully planned our journey, they slow us down, they make us go a different way than we planned, and we don’t want them “controlling” what route we take! On the upside we may not consider that the detour is there to keep us from a bridge which is out or maybe some highway construction which will (even though it is a bother now) ultimately make our journey easier the next time we make a trip down this same road.
Sometimes detours can make us see a part of the country we would have never seen otherwise. The spiritual detours in life must be taken as they come for they are there for a reason.
